A Balanced Master Plan for Responsive Conservation
A Balanced Master Plan for Responsive Conservation
Humans are part of nature. However, the natural environment is increasingly threatened by irresponsible human activities.
Protecting the natural environment is everyone’s responsibility and obligation. With the rise in environmental awareness and knowhow, we can all play a part in enhancing the environmental conditions, thus harmonising both the environment and our quality of life.
Our vision is to build harmony between the environment and the provision of adequate housing for the community.
Given Hong Kong’s huge demand for housing and limited land resources, Nam Sang Wai’s regeneration is planned in such a way that prioritises meeting ecological conservation targets while addressing the practical needs through low-density housing.
To ensure adequate resources are allocated for the long-term rehabilitation and conservation of the degraded wetlands at Nam Sang Wai and Lut Chau, the project will be funded through a statutory Environment and Conservation Fund (ECF) into which the developers will donate a part of the projected profits from the sale of homes.
